They are more than thousands of courses offered in a lot universities located wherever on earth. How I first stepped into this University of Sultan Zainal Abidin located in Terengganu, Malaysia and into this Faculty of Innovative Design and Technology, taking the course in Industrial Design.
Got to know that I was a science stream student during my secondary education, was taking physics and chemistry in science. The theories I am familiar with are such as the Newton first, second, and third Laws; Simple Harmonic Motion, Quantum Theory, Fusion and Fission of Atom, Kirchhoff's circuit laws, ethanol + butanoic acid = Ethyl butanoate and so on.
So Suddenly I have to shift my brain on writing experiment report into how to draw the thing I saw in detail. I am not hate to be in designing, instead I love to be a designer since I was a low child. In fact, I wasn't good in drawing, I had no basic of drawing something, since I wasn't ever attend to any special drawing tuition so far. Drawing was only a dream during my past.
Now, I have to start struggling for what I want to achieve in my life- I want to be a good designer, design cars and all other products if got the chances.
Phillipe Starck, he designs all sort of products from the buildings, interior, boat, to our daily using products such as toothbrush. He says: Design, it must be democratic. He designs for every human on the earth, despite for the luxury and so-called elegant.
Watched the talk he given on the TED Talks about "Why Design?", I started to feel that we, super monkey should aim for the best. We don't let the world remain at the same stage, but keep improving on and on. We especially designers, we have to.
In design, I am now starting from the toddler stage. Keeping my balance while exploring the unknowns ahead. Every now is the key to success.
